Chart Creation
Select the type of chart you want to create:
-
Line
A line graph draws connecting lines between data points. They are often used for highlighting trends in data over intervals of time.
-
Bar
Bar graphs have rectangular bars. The length of the bars correspond to the values they represent. Bar graphs are appropriate for plotting data that is continuous (e.g., weight, height) or discontinuous (e.g., eye color, shoe size).
The bars can be plotted horizontally or vertically.
-
Pie
Pie charts are divided into sections that illustrate proportion. The area of each section is proportional to the quantity it represents. You can enter percentages (e.g., 20 and 80) or just enter your raw counts (e.g., 376, 471 and 809) and let Capital Charts do the math for you.
